Blindfold ProductionsMaya Penn is a 19-year-old award-winning founder and CEO of her sustainable fashion brand Maya’s Ideas. She is an eco-designer, 3-time TED speaker and author who consults for major fashion brands on how to shift and incorporate more eco-friendly and sustainable practices in their companies.
While interviewing Maya for her Mini-Doc, she continued to impress us by sharing that she used her skills in sewing and fashion design to start an initiative where she created eco-friendly sanitary pads for women and girls in developing countries. She has shipped these pads to healthcare facilities in Haiti, Senegal, Somalia and more.
